Why we moved to Boise + Idaho

For us, deciding to pick up and move from Texas five years ago was one of the most uncharacteristic things we could have ever done.  Me, 20 years in my family’s full service real estate firm http://www.henrysmiller.com that my great grandfather started over 100 years ago and my wife, 10 years of yoga practice, training and teaching with the same yoga students.  Our four kids deeply rooted in our community and school with a huge group of friends, I think you see the pattern here, why are we picking up and moving halfway across the country with all we have going for us?

QUALITY OF LIFE period, end of story. Really/not really…

Big city Dallas with all the people, construction, traffic…a real rat race with no end in sight.  We had the yearning for a little less tempo in the pace our life was moving.

Two family members moving to Boise and a Griswold family style road trip to visit that took us from Texas to Idaho to Wyoming to Colorado sealed the deal.  Boise, we assessed, was the perfect balance between small town feel with most of the big city amenities that we were accustomed to coming from Big D.  The state capitol of Idaho, the Boise River running through the middle of town, Boise State University in the core…sound familiar? We defined Boise (and still do) as Austin, Texas 25 years ago.

Fast forward to today and we haven’t look back, not even for a minute.

We ❤️ Boise and are proud to call it home.

I am extremely passionate about what I do and would love to give you a tour of this awesome piece of the Mountain West.
